I am an unusual tutor–I have a depth and breadth of experience in teaching students whose brains are differently wired. I have a thorough understanding of the scope and sequence of teaching math skills and concepts to pre-k through pre-algebra students.

My work is based on building a trusting relationship with students.

Students feel seen, heard and understood. I offer them instruction they need in a way that makes sense to their brains. I build a collection of resources to support individual students and scaffold their work at school and at home.

I work with students and show them what they already understand then we move forward from there, adding tools to their toolbox.

I have spent most of my 30 year teaching career focusing on math instruction and have many resources that I have vetted to use with students that are engaging, fun, motivating and deeply educational.

Mini-Math Camps!

Middle School 6th-8th Mini-Camps 10:00am-1:00pm(can include rising 5th grade students working toward middle school math readiness) All camps include a mini skill based lesson, practice through engaging puzzles, a math game that extends and builds understanding, popsicles and outdoor play. $150 per camp/per day7/12 Problem Solving: All Operations w/ whole numbers (9:00-12:00 this week only)7/19 Fractions: adding & subtracting7/26 Fractions: multiplying & dividing8/2 Decimals: all operations & percents8/9 Integers: all operations8/16 Problem Solving: all skills
Elementary Mini-Camps 2:00-4:00All camps include learning a new game (and taking home all materials to play at home), a variety of puzzles to continue practice for many summer days, a math art project, popsicles and outdoor play. Students are invited to choose challenges at any level.
